We are saddened to report the passing of Gail Harris, a dynamic female vocalist from the Pacific Northwest. Like Rockin’ Robin Roberts, she was a singer that sang regularly with the Fabulous Wailers as part of their revue show.
Jivetime Records provided an excellent summary of her career…
The Wailers had begun […]
It’s the 9th day of the 12 days ’til LOUIE LOUIE 2020 Christmas, and we’re thinking about…
Rockin’ Robin Roberts
For many people, especially in the Pacific Northwest, Rockin’ Robin Roberts provided the definitive version of LOUIE LOUIE in 1961. Backed by the (Fabulous) Wailers of Tacoma, Washington, this was THE version that transformed […]
Pat O’Day, the legendary Broadcaster and concert promoter of the Pacific Northwest, has passed away.
During the 1960’s he was the highest-profile disc jockey of Seattle and the region’s dominant dance promoter. He has often been credited as being the primary person responsible from bringing the Seattle music scene to national prominence during that […]
This weekend, it’s an 80th birthday celebration for Little Bill Engelhart, a genuine Northwest music legend.
Little Bill was, and is a very important player in the legend of the song LOUIE LOUIE.

Tacoma Weekly shared some specifics:

As promised, here’s more on Buck Ormsby, who passed away recently…
My friend Alec Palao wrote an excellent tribute to Buck that was shared at the Ace Records website.
Here’s the first paragraph…
BUCK ORMSBY defined the term “rocker” better than anyone I have ever met in the music business. Not in the […]
