An inspired edit of LOUIE LOUIE performances was shared on YouTube recently. Someone by the name of “aemelnick” created a nice compilation that features performances of Harrison (?), The Kingsmen, Computeach Middle School Jazz Band, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Iggy Pop, The Clash, The Grateful Dead, The Sandpipers, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, MC5, Richard Berry, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young performing LOUIE LOUIE.
The clip is called “Everybody Plays “Louie Louie,” which feels incomplete to me, but then if this clip did include EVERYONE that did LOUIE, it would run for many hours, if not days, rather than a mere five and a half minutes…
The last clip actually swiped from one of my YouTube videos, but it’s all good….
