A guy named LOUIE buys 10 Billionth iTunes song – “I Guess Things Happen That Way”

Posted on February 26, 2010

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with Richard Berry‘s famous song, but a guy named LOUIE recently made news this week.

A 71-year-old LOUIE Sulcer of Woodstock, Ga., bought “Guess Things Happen That Way” by Johnny Cash at the Apple iTunes store, which turned out to be the 10 Billionth iTunes sale. To celebrate this special event, Apple gave LOUIE a $10,000 gift certificate.

As it turns out, today is Johnny Cash’s birthday. He would have celebrated 78 years today if he were still with us.

By the way, I think Johnny’s new CD “American VI: Ain’t No Grave” is a great recording. I highly recommend it.
