With a tip of the hat to the good folks at Davie Allan’s KING OF THE FUZZ Yahoo group, I just found out about a wonderful website with group shots of a lot of great bands from the 1960’s.
The site is called “BEYOND THE BEAT GENERATION,” and it’s got a lot of wonderful photos- The Pink Finks, The Bobby Fuller Four, The Peanut Butter Conspiracy, Country Joe & the Fish, Insect Trust, The Seeds of Time, the Undertakers, and a lot of other great garage bands that may or may not have performed LOUIE LOUIE in their repertoire. It’ll probably take awhile to load on your browser, but it’s worth the wait!
