Joe Bravo Y Los Fabulosos Sunglows – LOUIE of the Week

Posted on January 19, 2009

This week’s LOUIE of the Week is an extremely rare version of the song. Up until a few days, ago, I’d never heard of Joe Bravo Y Los Fabulosos Sunglows. YouTube user LilRobsRucaMs1218, aka Ms Sexy Ruca, shared a video clip that features the audio recording of this band, live in Chicago. The video is merely a still photograph of the actual vinyl. WOW!

I don’t know what year this record was released, but I’m guessing that it was released during the 1960’s. It feels like a natural transition between Rene Touzet‘s “El Loco Cha Cha” and Richard Berry‘s original version of “Louie Louie” in 1957.

I’m going to have to do some research on this one…

If you have any information on this recording, please share…
