Time for a blast from the past….
My friend Michael “Mickey Dreadlocks” Dresbach recently shared a special LOUIE LOUIE he recorded for the KFJC Maximum LOUIE LOUIE marathon of 1983. This is one of the handful of LOUIEs that he recorded for this event.
Michael not only recorded some different LOUIEs for the event, he also performed live on the radio with his band Wonders of Science, which turned out to be the group that performed after the historic 45 minute radio performance by Richard Berry (songwriter), Jack Ely (original Kingsmen vocalist) and the Lady Bo Trio (Bo Diddley‘s backup band).
I know Michael used to have fun telling folks that Richard and Jack were the opening act for their live performance of LOUIE LOUIE!
