What About March 9th?

Posted on March 7, 2006

What do Mark Lindsay, Mickey Spillane, David Pogue, Robin Trower, Amerigo Vespucci, Vyacheslav Molotov, and yours truly have in common? A common anniversary of existence- March 9th.

If anybody out there in cyberspace would like to help me celebrate this special day in a very joyous manner, and support THE LOUIE REPORT in a grandiose fashion, here’s some items that I’d love to get that would actually help me immensely in my quest to finish this epic documentary of mine:

– Firewire or SATA RAID storage systems for editing large video projects on a Final Cut Pro editing system; 4-5 Terrabytes is what I’m looking for to take this thing to final completion

– A all-new MacBook Pro laptop with the yet-to-be-released Final Cut Studio package (optimized for the new Intel chips) so I can replace my sound-challenged old Pismo Powerbook with a state-of-the-art portable system capable of editing video programs and mastering DVDs wherever I happen to be

– Compeletion funding so I can strike specific deals to lock down clearance agreements with musical organizations, order specific high-priced television / film clips, and interview the last people left on my list, hopefully before they all die …. before I’m able to finish this documentary

I also have my Amazon Wish List, which is a fun thing to share with my friends, and good ol’ Paypal.

At this point in time, I would also be overjoyed if all of our brave men and women stationed in Iraq were able to return home to their families. That would be one excellent birthday present I’d be very glad to share with the world!

LATE ADDITION:

In addition to being the publisher-editor of the best-selling “Missing Manual” computer books, David Pogue is also a gifted musical parodist. I’m sure many of you web-surfers can relate to “Happily Addicted to the Web,” “Microsoft” and other fine ditties in a jugular vein…

More March 9th information can be found at the Wikipedia entry for this special date.
