Here’s the word on the recent Sonics shows in London, courtesy of my pal Chester Rocket of the UK:

It was AMAZING!!!!

And yes, they did do THAT SONG, and boy was it good !

(sorry for those that weren’t there, but it was a proper occasion, and they did not disappoint…. check out youtube)

Also I had a sneak preview of their session on Mark Lamarr show on BBC Radio 2 – I think it is going out on Saturday</strike> (EP: It’s online right now) – it’s really good make sure you catch it.

Damn, that looked like fun….

UPDATE: Chester sends even more information about this show:

EP they were just brilliant….

Was there with 2 friends and several thousand others – we all had a great

time, and like I say a real sense of occasion, you could feel it in the air

as soon as you got off the tube…

They just played it dead straight, like the past 40 years never happened,

Larry was even using his old guitar 🙂

All the songs you could have hoped for too

There’s a pretty fair review here

http://music.guardian.co.uk/live/story/0,,2267675,00.html (tho of course I

would say 5 stars)

Link to the session here http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/lamarrsat/ looks

like it may already have aired but there is a listen again link 🙂

I hope you guys do get to see the show before too long I can’t believe how

lucky we were over here

And to make matters better, I was distraught when I heard that Pete Doherty

might be on the bill but it was a false alarm as he was on the Sunday bill

(and cried off anyway!) 😉 hee hee

C

(still singing Sonics songs to self)

..AND YET ANOTHER UPDATE:
