Today, I’m in transit, flying from San Jose to Tacoma, with a stop over in Portland, where I’m now typing up this blog posting courtesy of the free airport WiFi service. This week, I’ll be in the Tacoma \/Seattle area, attending the Kent Morrill<\/strong> memorial on Wednesday, as well as meeting up with a lot of old and new friends. <\/p>\n

In the next 48 hours, I’ll know if my efforts to to find funding for the documentary via Kickstarter was a successful venture.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the outcome of the Kickstarter campaign<\/a>, it’s been a worthwhile path for me to pursue. I’ve seen some serious dedication in the project reflected back to me by supporters so very anxious to see this thing finally completed. It’s been too long, and I’m so very anxious to wrap this sucker up.<\/p>\n

One way or another, I’m going to finish this thing!<\/p>\n

This week, as I fly off to the land where LOUIE developed legendary status as a regional anthem, it seems like a perfect opportunity to literally “cast my fate to to the wind.”<\/p>\n

So this week seemed like a good time to put the spotlight on a unique medley-mashup that combined Vince Guaraldi<\/strong>‘s “Cast Your Fate To the Wind” with Richard Berry<\/strong>‘s “LOUIE LOUIE.” The performers that created this special version were Dave Stewart<\/strong> and Barbara Gaskin<\/strong>, who unveiled this song on their 1991 SPIN album.<\/p>\n
