Because there&#8217;s such a wealth of information in his entry, I&#8217;ve decided to recycle Mike&#8217;s words at the LOUIE REPORT blog.<\/p>\n<p>Views expressed do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the staff of LouieLouie.net. And I found quite a few that I haven\u2019t seen before!  Here they are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jim Deecken<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.compobeachbum.com\/coversongs.html\">http:\/\/www.compobeachbum.com\/coversongs.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Projectile<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avianexotic.com\/projectile\/louie%20louie-projectile.mp3\">http:\/\/www.avianexotic.com\/projectile\/louie%20louie-projectile.mp3<\/a> &#8211; Projectile is an all-veterinarian band, founded by Dr. Don Harris in 2003.  Projectile&#8217;s performances include openings for &#8220;Chicago&#8221;, &#8220;Hootie and the Blowfish&#8221;, Clint Black, REO Speedwagon, and several headliner appearances.  See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avianexotic.com\/djh.htm\">http:\/\/www.avianexotic.com\/djh.htm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Helen Kellers<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.helenkellers.com\">http:\/\/www.helenkellers.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong> Coltrum Funk<\/strong> &#8211; \u201cImprovvisation On Louie Louie Bass Loop\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/coltrumfunk.altervista.org\/Coltrum_Funk_-_Imp_On_Louie_Louie_Bass_Loop.mp3 \">http:\/\/coltrumfunk.altervista.org\/Coltrum_Funk_-_Imp_On_Louie_Louie_Bass_Loop.mp3 <\/a>&#8211; Pretty cool version, from the contact e-mail at <a href=\"http:\/\/coltrumfunk.altervista.org\">http:\/\/coltrumfunk.altervista.org<\/a>, they appear to be from Italy.  <\/p>\n<p><strong> Steve Dukes<\/strong> (2 versions) &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stevedukes.us\/steveplay.php\">http:\/\/www.stevedukes.us\/steveplay.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spirit of Fire Marching Band (S.F.M.B.)<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/multimediaheroesmx.tripod.com\/\">http:\/\/multimediaheroesmx.tripod.com\/<\/a> &#8211; A marching band from Mexico.  Actually a somewhat different arrangement from what you usually hear with the many, many, many marching band versions out there.  Probably not the tightest marching band I\u2019ve ever heard, but its refreshing to hear a marching band do something a little different with the song.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Cinnamen<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/n_n_n_n_n_n_n_h\/music.html\">http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/n_n_n_n_n_n_n_h\/music.html<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/the_cinnamen.tripod.com\/music.html\">http:\/\/the_cinnamen.tripod.com\/music.html<\/a> <\/p>\n<p><strong> The F.I. <\/strong>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petehixson.net\/thefi\/music\/drug_day_rehearsal\/\">http:\/\/www.petehixson.net\/thefi\/music\/drug_day_rehearsal\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong> Jungle Rooster <\/strong>\u2013 \u201cWild Sloopy Louie Thing\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.junglerooster.com\/covermp3s.htm\">http:\/\/www.junglerooster.com\/covermp3s.htm<\/a> &#8211; A Wild Thing \/ Louie Louie \/ Hang On Sloopy medley by a S.F. Bay area band.  Despite the total lack of originality of putting these three songs together in a medley, I was presently surprised that this one doesn\u2019t suck.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exit 47<\/strong> \u2013 \u201c60&#8217;s Medley\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exit47.com\/demo.htm\">http:\/\/www.exit47.com\/demo.htm<\/a> &#8211; A medley of a bunch of songs from the 60\u2019s that includes Louie Louie, Hang On Sloopy, Sugar Sugar, and I Think We\u2019re Alone Now.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Oklahoma State Univ. Cowboy Marching Band<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/bands.okstate.edu\/CMB\/sounds.html\">http:\/\/bands.okstate.edu\/CMB\/sounds.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Pep Band<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/users.wpi.edu\/~pepband\/downloads.html\">http:\/\/users.wpi.edu\/~pepband\/downloads.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Charlotte Central School (CCS) <\/strong>\u2013 Now this is kind of cool.  At this school in Charlotte, VT, the students were apparently given a math \/ music assignment that involved making a stringed instrument where they calculated the positions of the frets required to produce different notes.  They then recorded the results, and several of the students played very short versions of Louie Louie.
