This week, I’m recycling our friend Clay Stabler<\/strong>‘s addition to the LOUIE LOUIE Wikipedia page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 1967 French composers Michel Colombier<\/strong> and Pierre Henry<\/strong>, collaborating as Les Yper-Sound<\/strong>, produced a musique concr\u00e8te work based on the “Louie Louie” riff titled “”Psych\u00e9 Rock<\/strong>“. They subsequently worked with choreographer Maurice B\u00e9jart<\/strong> on a “Psych\u00e9 Rock”-based score for the ballet Messe pour le temps pr\u00e9sent<\/strong>. The full score with multiple mixes of “Psych\u00e9 Rock” was released on the album M\u00e9tamorphose<\/strong>. The album was reissued in 1997 with additional remixes including one by Ken Abyss<\/strong> titled “Psych\u00e9 Rock (Metal Time Machine Mix)” that, along with the original, heavily influenced Christopher Tyng<\/strong>‘s Futurama theme song.<\/p>\n
