{"id":12125,"date":"2020-12-25T10:48:11","date_gmt":"2020-12-25T17:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/?p=12125"},"modified":"2020-12-25T10:48:11","modified_gmt":"2020-12-25T17:48:11","slug":"12-days-of-louie-louie-2020-christmas-the-christmas-finale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/?p=12125","title":{"rendered":"12 Days of LOUIE LOUIE 2020 Christmas  (the Christmas Finale)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/holiday-ornament.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"625\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12220\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/holiday-ornament.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/holiday-ornament-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/holiday-ornament-768x480.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/holiday-ornament-150x94.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.louielouie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/holiday-ornament-400x250.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Today is Christmas, and we are celebrating this special day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mojo Nixon<\/strong> provided a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas with a LOUIE LOUIE theme, which we&#8217;re sharing once again&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mojo Nixon &quot;Christmas Christmas&quot; (Louie Louie revisited)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X0Ou3sLcP7g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On these LouieLouie.net pages, there was an attempt to merge LOUIE LOUIE celebrations with the 12 Days of Christmas theme, which changed into a &#8220;12 Days &#8217;til Christmas&#8221; theme after we realized it wasn&#8217;t following the proper structure of traditional &#8220;12 Days of Christmas&#8221; concept&#8230;   which led to the numbering system getting a bit messed up.<\/p>\n<p>We also looked for likewise-minded celebrations that someone else might have attempted, but the closest thing we could find was a NASTY but funny clip called &#8220;The 12 Days of Uncle Louie.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The 12 Days of Uncle Louie\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rPqSd9rsg2s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We were also thinking of creating a big ambitious video clip that would consist of stock film footage of partridges, turtle doves, French hens, calling birds, assorted people wearing golden rings, lots of geese a-laying, many swans a-swimming, more maids a-milking, lots of ladies dancing, some lords leaping, various pipers piping and a whole bunch of drummers making assorted sounds that would all be combined into a massive mashup of LOUIE LOUIE and the song &#8220;The 12 Days of Christmas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, as we ran out of time and resources, that little project never happened.<\/p>\n<p>BUT..  we did find a cool video clip of various animals singing &#8220;12 Days of Christmas!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Animals Sing &quot;12 Days of Christmas&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/obGjx8Hry3M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, we leave you with this clip of a performance that does combine LOUIE LOUIE with another song.  This medley-mashup combines LOUIE LOUIE with the <strong>Vince Guaraldi<\/strong> song &#8220;Cast Your Fate to the Wind&#8221; as performed by <strong>Dave Stewart<\/strong> and <strong>Barbara Gaskin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;Cast Your Fate To the Wind \/ Louie Louie&quot; - Stewart &amp; Gaskin\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lGAAZLsmdPA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That being said, the concept of <em>&#8220;casting your find to the wind&#8221;<\/em> during this weird moment in history when airborne particles are potentially more dangerous than ever before, is not necessarily a wise move.   <\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d like to encourage our fellow citizens to act responsibly, and wear face masks when in the presence of other humans. <em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/protecting-against-covids-aerosol-threat\/\">Airborne particles CAN travel 20 feet<\/a>)<\/em>  <\/p>\n<p>As long as people refuse the call to act responsibly, the longer we&#8217;ll have to deal with this damned pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>We wish all of our friends the best of health during these extremely challenging times.   <\/p>\n<p>Happy holidays to all!<\/p>\n<p>Me gotta go now..<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; E.P. of LouieLouie.net<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today is Christmas, and we are celebrating this special day.
