Listen, I still love Louie, Louie. Here it is 40 years later, and I\u2019m still turning that song up. I know it\u2019s not good music, but here we are.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n  &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chron.com\/disp\/story.mpl\/ent\/6399512.html\">Michael McKean<\/a> (Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Then,  a couple of quick things&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terry Adams<\/strong> of <strong>NRBQ<\/strong> fame has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailygazette.com\/news\/2009\/apr\/30\/0430_jukebox\/\">a new band that has been known to play Louie Louie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dave Berry<\/strong>, formerly of <strong>Rock Rottom Remainders<\/strong> and <strong>Federal Duck<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/opinions\/2009\/04\/25\/2009-04-25_35_years_later_its_a_flight_of_the_conned_chords.html\">still knows the words to Louie Louie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some guy in Staten Island, NY by the name of <strong>Rich Russo<\/strong> claims that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/entertainment\/music\/index.ssf\/2009\/04\/wrxp_in_staten_island.html\">he&#8217;s discovered &#8220;the next Louie Louie.&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, as I did some Google-surfing to see what papers carried the AP story on Jack Ely and LOUIE LOUIE, I found some interesting sidenotes.
