Norton Records needs help!

Our friends at Norton Records were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. Their entire stock – LPs, CDs, 45s, picture sleeves, CD booklets, record labels and more – was destroyed by this terrible disaster.

For the first time in Norton’s history, we are asking for your help. It has been entirely against our policy and […]

RIP: Kathi Kamen Goldmark, writer, musician, friend of LOUIE

Last week, we lost another friend to cancer.

Kathi Kamen Goldmark, the woman responsible for the creation of the band known as the Rock Bottom Remainders, left us on Thursday.

It’s a shock that someone like Kathi would die. I had no idea she was even sick.

Just a few weeks ago, […]

In 1966, […]

The NEW Drake Levin webpage

I recently provided some web design services for the family of Drake Levin with the creation of a new DrakeLevin.com webpage. This is really an exciting project to be associated with, as I’m scanning a lot of archival photographs, and hearing some great stories about Drake.

Drake Levin was the guitar player for Paul […]

Etta James does NOT have Alzheimer’s disease

Last week, there were news articles that mentioned that Etta James was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

This afternoon, I did a Google search for “Etta James Alzheimer’s” and noticed there were 36,500 entries for this subject. News certainly travels fast.

As it turns out, Etta James does not actually have Alzheimer’s disease.

How do […]
